“Make in India” seminar at Liverpool Business School
Consulate General of India, Birmingham in association with Liverpool John Moores University(LJMU) organised a Make in India seminar at Liverpool Business School on 19th October,2016. Shri Dinesh Patnaik, Acting High Commissioner of India to UK and Prof. Nigel Weatherill, Vice Chancellor, LJMU co-chaired the Seminar. After the welcome address by Vice Chancellor, Consul General J K Sharma explained the aims and objectives of Govt of India's flagship programme Make in India. Mr Steve Toogood, Director, UKIBC, Manchester made a presentation about work being done by them to help British companies in doing business in India. Consul B C Pradhan made detailed presentation mentioning the opportunities of investment available in various sectors under Make in India, Digital India, Smart Cities Project, Skill India etc. Acting High Commissioner highlighted the progress made by Indian economy in last two years, various sectors in which British companies could invest and the advantages of investing in India. He answered questions from the audience relating to food processing, skill development, health care, organic farming etc.
