Public Notice on fraud calls
It has come to the notice of the Consulate General of India that a fraudster (could be a gang) is making calls to Indian nationals in Europe saying they filled up their immigration details wrongly due to which legal action has been initiated. The fraudster asks to transfer money through wire and does not allow the unsuspecting Indian to disconnect the call. Consulate General of India, Birmingham hereby advises all Indian nationals to strictly avoid entertaining any such calls. Consulate does not make such calls. If any Indian national receives such calls he/she should immediately inform the Consulate at firstname.lastname@example.org with all details.
